House of Hades by Rick Riordan- AWESOME!!!!

Hello again guys! This is the second post that I have promised you! Best for last, and it's coming up people! By the way, I'm thinking about doing a contest to win a free book, so tell your friends and they can join in on the fun! Just an idea...haha. Anyways, today's book is......drum roll please......is House of Hades by Rick Riordan! Let me tell you, I am a huge Percy Jackson fan and I nearly died during the year long wait for this book. Now we have to wait even longer for the next book! Aaaaah! I guess I'll just read some fanfiction to tie me over.....

Anywho, this book really is amazing! I finished the night it came out, I was that excited. Just saying, if you are going to read the series read them in order. It's kinda confusing otherwise. :)

Honestly, it was exactly as expected. I loved how Tartarus was portrayed (no spoilers for you!) and how Nico's character developed and Leo did this and Hazel did that and Frank became kick-butt and Jason was awesome and.....so much more! In case you haven't noticed, I haven't said anything on Percy or Annabeth. You just have to read this epic book to find out!!!!! Love it!!!

Until next time guys!

Hello you awesome people! I am beyond sorry for the wait on this update. I felt so guilty not updating, but I could never find the time (middle school, new people, extreme homework, projects, clubs, writing, etc.). Please don't come after me with pitchforks! Just kidding :).

So, today I have a new book for you guys! Let's see a show of hands of how many people are interested in World War 2? Okay, before you say anything, I am thoroughly obsessed with it! Not in a sadistic way, but because I find it fascinating. To anyone who fought in it, or know anyone who fought in it, or even anyone who has served at all, Happy Veterans Day and thank you!

Back to this week's book. How many people know that Japan actually invaded Alaska trying to win the war? Well, they did invade the Aleutian Islands. It was absolutely terrible. How do I know? I read Ghosts in the Fog: The Untold Story of Alaska's WW2 Invasion! And yes it is on 2013-2014 Battle of the Books.

This novel tells with brutal truth about what happened to the Aleutians. I recommend this for anyone in middle school, or a bit higher. Definitely not elementary school.  It really is an enjoyable book if you like history.

I will probably update sometime in the next three days; I have two awesome books I want to share with you and they include Percy Jackson and Legend....:).

See you then guys!

Back to School (UGH!)

Hello faithful readers! I'm back! School has started and I am completely wiped out!  Middle School is very, very different from Elementary School, that much is true. I wish summer didn't have to end....at least it's a Friday! :)

Anyway, are any of you readers out there planning on joining Battle of the Books? I sure am! For those of you who don't know what it is, Battle of the Books (BOB) is a tournament between schools in a county that compete to see which school knows the books on the list better. Basically, you read books and answer clever questions in a tournament. For example a judge might ask your team "In which book did a character sneeze, creating a chain reaction around the store?" You would answer and they would either give you points or move on to the next team.

It may sound easy at first, but it is somewhat difficult. In elementary school you need to read about 18 books and in middle school, you need to read about 28 books. (I say ''about'' because sometimes they take off 1 or 2 books) Because I read so much, I'm addicted to this program. It really is cool!

Remember my earlier update, about Legend? Well, guess what? Legend is on the BOB list! Now I have an excuse to read it over and over again! (Not that I need one anyway.......) BOB really can show you about some awesome books!

That's it for today guys! Hope you have a great weekend and survive school next week!

And remember, READ, READ, READ!

Hi! This is something that just came up, so I decided that I would tell you. Recently, I found this awesome site called Fanfiction.Net. It features stories written by people who have read books and want to write their own, based on the characters, plot, etc. of the book that they like. Kind of confusing the way I put it, but just go on the site sometime if you want to know. Anyway, I got an account, and I have written three rather short stories so far. I am so happy! This is the beginning of my writing career, I guess! If possible, could any of you guys out there go to my profile page, scroll down, and read one of my stories? And maybe review? That would be great!!!! Thank you! (Here is the link below)

Hello faithful readers! How are you guys? I'm sorry that I haven't updated for a while. What with summer vacation I forgot... Anyway, there is a new book series that I would like to recommend to you all. It is called The Legend Trilogy (Legend, no. 1; Prodigy, no. 2; Champion, no. 3 which still hasn't come out). I learned about it from the middle school Battle of the Books list (the first book is the one on the list). The first novel is called Legend, as I already told you, and it was one of the best books I have ever read. Period. The whole book was thrilling, action-packed, and to be blunt, just plain awesome. The story is about a young criminal named Day. Day is so mysterious, only he knows the true story of his past. His family thinks he's dead. But he gives them the medicine for a plague that they don't have the money for. That all changes when he supposedly kills a soldier during a robbery for the medicine. The problem is, knows that he didn't kill the man. He just threw a knife at the man's shoulder to get away. So now the government is after him for something he didn't do (but they were after him anyway). And who is the mystery girl named June, whom he had met in a Skiz fight? Find out by reading one of the most incredible books ever- Legend. And trust me when I say that this novel is epic.

Hi!!! I'm back again! I'd like to tell you about a series that I'm reading. They are called The Books of Ember. I read the first book last year and decided to continue reading it. It's about a group of people were sent to live underground in the "City of Ember" hundreds of years ago. They had lights to see. As time passed, everyone underground began to forget the outside world. And because light can't shine forever, the lights began going out. No one wants to realize that it's time to leave so it's up to Doon Harrow and Lina Mayfleet to find away out and save the people they love most. This story is very intense and keeps you on the edge of your seat because you never know what is going to happen next. So, take my advice and read it! I am on the second book now and have loved it so far. If your looking for something good and entertaining, then this is your series!

Hello again! I found a really inspiring book quote for you guys. Here it is!

I definitely agree with Mr. King. He is exactly right! Tell everyone about your reading experience, recommend a book, or show us a picture! My dream is to get everyone to read, so help make that come true!

(You may be thinking This is just like school. They just want us to read, read, read for no reason. I am not. Reading is AWESOME!!!!! I want you to go pick a book not to do research, but to have the time of your life. Reading a book is like nothing you have ever done before. It is purely amazing. So, go pick up a book and it will change your life.
